春到河畔 2010
It’s a super hot and sunny day yesterday. Yet, me and dear when to 春到河畔. Before that, we had our lunch at Souperliciour (suntec city mall). Soup was delicious and pricing was reasonable for the portion of food you got.
This was the first time we went to春到河畔. I think they have this event every year during CNY but this time round they have it at the Marina Bay floating platform. Don’t really know what is this event about, cause I don’t bother to read the sign boards but from what I saw, the theme of this year should be ‘panda’. Maybe is to introduce the panda preserves base which is in Chengdu as China will be giving Singapore 2 pandas.
They have a number of stores that sell some handmade stuffs and food. I must say the food stalls really sucks. We bought 3 small buns which cost us $2.50 and guess what… the moment I put half of the bun inside my mouth, I puked it out… dear managed to swollen the other half. The bun that looks delicious is disgusting. It is cold and the skin is super thick that I can’t even taste what is inside the bun. Got cheated by the visitors there as I saw many people bought the buns, that’s why wanna give it a try… fly my $2.50 which is super not worth it.
Then was photo taking photo taking. But the decorations are really chi-na… poor in workmanship and the animals all look so weir, not lively at all. The only fun part is the wishing well where you throw coins at the wind chime that you want and your wish MAY be fulfill (donation are to be given to Renci Hospital).
Anyway, 春到河畔 2010 ended this week. People who haven’t had a chance to go may visit next year one. Hope next year event will be better and no more chi-na.
