Great service from Donut Factory @ Novena Square
We had a surprising dinner outcome after shopping for new year clothes the entire day (Well, her clothes actually, not mine). We had our dinner at Novena Square's Donut Factory. This outlet not only sells donuts, but also main dishes. We went there couple of times last time but only had donuts, and we decided to try out their main dishes this time round. We ordered a dish of fried chicken rice and curry chicken baked rice, each cost $5.50. They offers combo set for $7 with side dish included but we didn't went for that because we didn't want to spend so much on our dinner.
On the point of payment, I was told that fried chicken rice was not available, so I changed to Toufu ball rice (weird name for a dish, but I was in a hurry deciding). After payment and some waiting, I was told by the manager that both dishes were not available, because they ran out of rice. So dear changed her dish to a combo set with mushroom soup and cheese macaroni. As for me, meatball spaghetti. Though we were a bit fed up, we finds the reason for running short of dish ingredients reasonable because it was 8.30pm and it was a crowded weekend for the shop. After serving meatball spaghetti, the manager gave us an onion soup ($3.50) and 3 donuts (carried away) for free. However after 10mins, dear's mushroom soup and cheese macaroni were not served yet, and I went forward to the manager for an answer. He went apologizing and those dishes came not long after which. He then offers us free drinks of our choice, and we choose ice lemon tea. Without realizing, he served us 2 cups of ice lemon tea instead of 1, which later we found out that it cost $3.50 each after looking at the menu.
We had a very full dinner and later we thanked the manager for his great service.... His name was Bryan. **Thumbs up** This the the first time I've received so many "on the house" dishes from an restaurant. Their food was pretty good as well, except their mushroom soup...
We spent $11, and recieved $15 worth of "on the house" dishes, how good was that!!
